A Lesson or Two Can Turn Your Game Around

The golf instructors on our staff at Alta Sierra Country Club can help you find your perfect swing whether you're a beginning golfer or a scratch player and whether you need help with your short game or long.  Men, women, juniors or seniors, everyone is welcome.

Kacey Tyler (USGTF Master Instructor) and John Renslow (PGA Class A) offer private and group lessons, clinics and the latest in swing analysis technology.  Our instruction can also help you become more comfortable with the etiquette of golf, how to play the game so that you and your playing partners can enjoy their 18 holes on our course.

Lessons are given on our spacious driving range where we also have space for practicing putting and chip shots.

Our Director of Instruction, Kacey Tyler, reminds us that, “A day without learning something is a day gone to waste.  Don't waste another one!”  For those of us who would like to be better players, this is very true.

“Most of our golfers are seeking help with their consistency of play and working with us can make a difference,” said our PGA golf professional, John Renslow. “We try to help players feel comfortable about their swing and their game when they take on our course.”

One of the best ways to achieve quicker improvement is with private instruction. Private lessons with Kacey are $50 per lesson or a package of three for $125.  Private Lessons with John are $50 per half hour. Non-members as well as members may take lessons at Alta Sierra.

Is there a young Tiger or Annika in your household? Probably you'd like them to have a bit more instruction in the game you love.

Well, every summer, Alta Sierra holds a junior golf camp for our members' children and grandchildren, ages 6 to 17. The camp includes one week of instruction plus play on the course.

Our summer camp is a great way to introduce kids to the game of golf or enhance the skills of those who have been playing for a while. A number of graduates of our program have gone on to play on outstanding college golf teams.

We offer a five-day program for member families and a three-day program for non-members. Cost is $40 for each program.  We offer discounts to junior golfers.
